Skip Hire Road Permits

One of the questions you’ll be asked in the process of ordering your skip is: will this skip be going on your driveway? Now this may seem like a strange question, however it is important. If you plan to place the skip on your driveway or on private property, this will not affect the price, however if you plan to place the skip on the road outside your property or in a council owned car park, or really, anywhere that is not owned by you or attached to your property, you will most likely need a permit.

We arrange the application in-house and will provide the lights and cones as requested for on the road skips. The only thing you have to do is pay the permit cost which varies from £70-£160 depending on what council you are under. You may need to practice some patience as the waiting period for approval is 3-5 full business days which does not include the day the order is placed as it will not be a full day.

Just like our skip hire periods, the permits will cover your skip for a 2 week hire period unless the council have any special restrictions. It is worth noting that if there are double yellow/red lines
