The DP Group celebrates
thirty years of excellence
Specialising primarily in Skip Hire, The DP Group was founded in 1992. Our chairman and founder Dave Price started out with only one lorry and five skips; continuous growth year on year now sees the business thrive at the forefront of the waste management industry.
The DP Group operation in the heart of Staffordshire has successfully tailored its business to supply industry leading and reliable services to both commercial and domestic clients.
Over the last 30 years The DP group have grown from strength to strength providing additional services to support our clients.
Whilst the business has seen rapid growth in recent years the core values of the family business still hold true – service, reliability, integrity and responsibility.
The business today is overseen by 3 directors with a team of 40 members of staff, all whom play a vital roll in maintaining our excellent standards in the services we provide.

Dave Price
FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN
In 1992 with just one wagon and 5 hand made skips, Dave formed The DP Group and has built the company into the successful business it is today.
As a young man Dave worked in Farming and Fabrication, core skills that enabled the successes of the business today.
Dave is a forward-thinking leader with hands-on experience of all The DP Groups capabilities and the operational knowledge to deliver a high quality service with value for money for both our domestic and commercial clients.

JON PRICE
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Being the oldest of the five DP children Jon has been on the full journey of The DP Groups growth and development.
From an early age Jon was in
the lorry with father and founder Dave, from painting skips, to unhooking chains off skips and finally passing his class 2 HGV test.
After school Jon took an apprenticeship in bricklaying and whilst in the building trade Jon found that service and quality is paramount for any successful business alongside gaining a wealth of knowledge and contacts within the construction industry; the DP Group still supply services to Jon’s old contacts today.
Jon set foot into the operations side of the business over a decade ago after working through all levels of the business, having an extensive knowledge of DP Groups operations allows Jon to maintain the company objective of excellence at every level.

JAMES PRICE
MANAGING DIRECTOR
James, the youngest of three brothers, plays a central role in the strategic direction of the company. As Head of Commercial Waste Management, he is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and continual optimisation of waste solutions for a wide range of clients. His expertise ensures that the company delivers effective, sustainable waste management services that meet the unique needs of each customer, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
In addition to his leadership in waste management, James is deeply involved in the company’s demolition projects. He takes a hands-on approach, managing all aspects of demolition operations, from project planning to execution, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with strict safety and environmental standards.
James is also at the forefront of the company’s tendering process. He leads the preparation of bids, carefully crafting proposals that align with the company’s strategic objectives and competitive edge. A recent highlight of his leadership was the successful design and implementation of our state-of-the-art picking station, which plays a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiency and commitment to sustainability. His continued focus on innovation and strategic planning drives the company’s ongoing growth and success.

TOM EXLEY
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Tom brings a wealth of expertise gained from a distinguished career in the corporate sector, joining The DP Group to further strengthen its leadership team. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, Tom led the logistics division of a major packaging firm, overseeing the supply chain operations for some of the leading retailers and supermarkets in the industry. His extensive experience spans strategic innovation, high-paced logistics, and commercial management, equipping him with the skills to drive operational excellence and growth.
As Managing Director, Tom has played a pivotal role in refining The DP Group’s strategic direction, focusing on sustainable, scalable growth through acquisitions and targeted business development initiatives. His leadership has been integral to positioning the company as a competitive force in the marketplace, offering clients exceptional value, service reliability, and cost certainty.
Tom’s continued focus is on expanding the organisation’s footprint, enhancing operational efficiencies, and ensuring long-term success in a dynamic business environment.
